Peran Packrafting Dalam Pengembangan Wisata Olahraga Berbasis Ekowisata

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran packrafting dalam pengembangan wisata olahraga berbasis ekowisata sebagai salah satu alternatif pengembangan destinasi wisata berkelanjutan. Packrafting merupakan aktivitas wisata olahraga petualangan yang memanfaatkan sumber daya alam sungai dengan prinsip keberlanjutan, keselamatan, dan pelestarian lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan pengelola wisata, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat lokal, serta dokumentasi kegiatan packrafting di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa packrafting berperan penting dalam meningkatkan daya tarik destinasi wisata, memperluas diversifikasi produk wisata olahraga, menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat lokal, serta meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap pelestarian lingkungan sungai. Selain itu, pengembangan packrafting mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pengelolaan wisata berbasis ekowisata secara kolaboratif. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa packrafting memiliki potensi strategis sebagai sarana pengembangan wisata olahraga berbasis ekowisata yang berkelanjutan, inklusif, dan berorientasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal.
