Tenis dan Padel sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Tidak Menular : Studi Literatur

Penyakit tidak menular (PTM) seperti penyakit kardiovaskular, diabetes melitus, kanker, dan penyakit metabolik merupakan penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas global. Aktivitas fisik rekreasi yang berkelanjutan menjadi strategi preventif penting dalam menurunkan risiko PTM. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran olahraga tenis dan padel dalam pencegahan PTM melalui pengaruhnya terhadap parameter kardiovaskular, metabolik, dan imunologis. Metode Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan Google Scholar dengan kriteria inklusi artikel 10 tahun terakhir, berbahasa Indonesia atau Inggris, dan tersedia full text. Dari proses seleksi diperoleh delapan artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa tenis berhubungan dengan penurunan tekanan darah, perbaikan profil lipid, peningkatan sensitivitas insulin, penurunan kekakuan arteri, serta penurunan risiko penyakit jantung, stroke, diabetes, dan obesitas. Intervensi berbasis tenis juga terbukti meningkatkan kebugaran kardiorespirasi dan menurunkan skor risiko kardiovaskular. Sementara itu, padel memberikan stimulus kardiovaskular intensitas sedang–tinggi, meningkatkan regulasi otonom jantung, serta memicu respons anti-inflamasi melalui modulasi sitokin.Kesimpulan: Dengan manfaat tenis dan padel tersebut disertai karakter rekreatif dan sosial, tenis dan padel berpotensi menjadi strategi preventif berbasis gaya hidup yang efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam upaya pencegahan PTM.
